Legislation to create a regulatory framework for crypto is moving closer to a vote by in the Republican-led House.
The House Agriculture Committee advanced the bill Thursday, one day after the the House Financial Services Committee green lit its part and garnering some Democratic support in addition to its GOP members. Crypto advocates say the bill would provide clearer rules of the road for the industry. Critics say it doesn’t provide strong enough investor protections.
