New Jersey Transit wants Beyoncé fans to know their rail options ahead of the highly anticipated concerts Saturday and Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
NJ Transit is offering special rail service to and from Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium in an effort accommodate the influx of Queen Bey fans.
Shuttle train service to Meadowlands Station
For the Beyoncé concerts, NJ Transit will operate shuttle trains exclusively between Secaucus Junction/Hoboken and Meadowlands Rail Station. Note: there will be no direct rail service to Meadowlands Station from any other rail line or station.
Service schedule highlights
Rail service to Meadowlands Station from Secaucus Junction will begin at 4:31 p.m. on both concert days. Stadium doors open at 5:30 p.m.. The final train bound for Meadowlands Station will depart from Secaucus Junction at 8:17 p.m.
The last train from MetLife Stadium to Meadowlands Station will not leave earlier than 1 a.m. to ensure people have sufficient time to make their way back.
Post-concert travel
Concertgoers are advised to check rail schedules for service from Secaucus to Penn Station New York and Hoboken Terminal. For those heading to New York, the PATH service from Hoboken Terminal will be available. Note: PATH tickets will not be cross-honored for this event.
Customers making connections at Secaucus should review their train schedules and allow for extra time to make connections. NJ Transit provides detailed service information on its website, where travelers can find train schedules and other essential details.
Ticketing and fare information
To minimize delays when boarding trains, NJ Transit recommends customers traveling to MetLife Stadium purchase round-trip tickets from their originating station to Meadowlands Station to streamline boarding and avoid congestion. Tickets purchased onboard the train will include a $5 surcharge for each ticket.
Driving to MetLife Stadium
The parking lot opens at 3 p.m. and it costs $40 to park for cars and $160 for a bus or RV. Watch for traffic on the highways around the stadium before and after the concert, so Route 3, Route 17 and Route 120 among others.
