EAST LIVERPOOL — Matt Loot had two goals and one assist and Cole Bowers and Hayden Hicks added goals as Steubenville topped East Liverpool, 4-2, at Patterson Field on Monday.

Cole Bowers rounded out the scoring for Big Red (2-0), who led 2-1 at halftime.

Getting goals for East Liverpool were Nate Schwerha off an assist from Preston Kerr and Ayden Wright on a penalty kick. Jake Smith made 12 saves in goal.

The Potters drop to 0-2 and will play at St. Clairsville on Thursday.

West Branch 7,

Crestview 3

BELOIT– The West Branch boys soccer team scored five goals in the first half and topped Crestview,7-3, Monday.

Alex Beveridge scored two goals for Crestview. Will Welch also had a goal. Brendan Dolan and Andrew Bucey had assists.Braden Devine made 15 saves.

Crestview play Jackson-Milton today, while West Branch will travel to Hubbard on Thursday.

Columbiana 4, Ridge 3

MINERAL RIDGE — The Columbiana Clippers boys soccer team defeated Mineral Ridge 4-3 on Monday.

For the Clippers, Aidan Radcliff scored three goals including a penalty kick, Lucas Horne had one goal and one assist and Dylan Hogan had ten saves in goal.

The Clippers (3-1) travel to Girard on Saturday.

Salem 5, Springfield 0

NEW MIDDLETOWN — The Salem Quakers girls soccer team downed Springfield, 5-0, Monday.

For the Quakers, Rylee Hutton had three goals, while Riley Flickinger and Lauryn Barton each had one goal. Kaylee Carlisle had five saves in goal.

The Quakers will travel to Crestview on Wednesday.

West Branch 1, Howland 1

HOWLAND –The West Branch girls soccer team finished in a 1-1 tie against Howland on Monday.

West Branch will play Streetsboro on Thursday.
