Orono, Maine – Tickets for the 2023 University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet are available now!
This year’s induction banquet will take place on Friday, Sept. 29 at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer, Maine. The event will run from 5:30 p.m. until approximately 8:30 p.m. The evening will begin with a social hour and hors d’oeuvres followed by a buffet meal and the official induction presentations of all of the inductees.
This special event will be by reservation only, with limited space available. Tickets for the event are priced at $65 for adults and $25 for children ages 7-12. This year’s honorees include James (Jim) Boylen, an all-conference guard and former National Basketball Association (NBA) head coach; Calvin (Cal) Ingraham, leading goal scorer on the 1993 men’s ice hockey national champions; Annabelle Hamilton, two-time field hockey All-American; Stacey Porrini (Clingan), three-time all-conference women’s basketball forward; Alexis Souhlaris (McNichols), softball career hits leader and regional All-American; Anthony (Rameek) Wright, Associated Press All-American football wide receiver; the 1959-60 men’s basketball team; and the only two undefeated teams (1951 and 1961) in the Black Bears 131-year history of football.
