Admission, times and entertainment lineup

SHEBOYGAN – The Sheboygan County Fair is set to take place Labor Day weekend, Aug. 31 to Sept. 4. The fairground is at 229 Fairview Drive, Plymouth.

Fair-goers are sure to find something to enjoy, whether it’s the exhibits, the midway, grandstand entertainment or food.

Here are few things to know before you head out to the fair.

Admission

Tickets may be purchased at the gate. Season passes are $60 for adults with parking or $40 without parking. Daily passes are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 10 to 14 and free for children 9 and younger. Daily parking is $5.

Exhibitors

Fair exhibits will be on display from goats, pigs and horses to furniture, photography and house plants. Open Class features exhibits by residents of Sheboygan, while the Junior Class shows the work of youth in grades 3 and older who are members of a 4-H Club or FFA of Sheboygan County.

Carnival rides

Mr. Ed’s Magical Midways provides the carnival rides. Wristbands, at $25, can be used during special sessions. Times are 4 to 9 p.m. Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 2 and 4.

Grandstand entertainment

  • Aug. 31: 7 p.m., Farm tractor pull, $6 adults, free for 11 and younger
  • Sept. 1: 6:30 p.m., Dialed Action – two-wheeled show, $12 adults, $5 ages 6 to 11, free for 5 and younger
  • Sept. 2: 5 p.m., Car racing, $12 adults, $5 ages 6 to 11, free for 5 and younger
  • Sept. 3: 5 p.m., Extreme bull riding and barrel racing, $30 VIP or $12 adults, $5 ages 6 to 11, free for 5 and younger
  • Sept. 4: 1 p.m., Extreme bull riding, 30 VIP or $12 adults, $5 ages 6 to 11, free for 5 and younger

Family entertainment

Several exhibits will be open and shows will take place daily throughout the fair including Dominguez Attractions Show, Butterfly Encounter, Bear Hollow Wood Carvers, and Pleasure Valley pig and duck races to name just a few.

Live music

Local bands will play each day of the fair including Big Bass Trio, Sugarbush Boys, Mt. Olive, Copper Box, Shy Guys, Star Six Nine, Boogie & The Yo-Yoz, Good Time Dutchmen and many more.
