SHERBURN — The Sherburn Theatre will again show the movie ‘Miracle Club’ this weekend, Sept. 1-3. Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.

This coming week is September. Monday, Sept. 4, is the Labor Day holiday so the Sherburn City Council has rescheduled their meeting for 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Sherburn City Hall. All members are urged to attend. There is always a time for public comments and questions at the beginning of the meeting. To be on the regular agenda, please contact city hall prior to the meeting date by calling (507) 764-4491.

The Friendship Club from St. John’s Lutheran Church invites area residents to join them for their meetings. The next meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Green Mill Restaurant in Fairmont. Weather permitting they will have breakfast specials on

the patio. Sounds like fun.

Condolences to the family of Richard Brolsma, former Sherburn resident, who passed away recently. He will be missed.

Martin County West Schools for grades 7-12 will begin Sept. 5, while students in grades K-6 will begin on Sept. 7. The sports teams have begun to have games and meets in August. Thursday, Aug. 31, the volleyball team will travel to Fairmont at 7:30 p.m. On Friday, Sept. 1, the cross country team will go to Sioux Falls at 6 p.m. and the football team will travel to Canby for a 7 p.m. game.
