Prairie Arts Center (416 N. Jeffers) — The Farm Fresh open art show. The center is open Tuesday-Saturday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Free admission.

Golden Ticket Cinemas, District 177 Mall (1000 S. Dewey) – Barbie, Blue Beetle, Day By Day, Gran Turismo, The Hill, The Equalizer 3, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 and The Nun II. Subject to change.

Cody Park – Concessions every evening. Kid’s carnival rides on weekends.

Thursday, Sept. 7

North Platte Community College (601 W. State Farm Rd) — Job Fair. Resumes encouraged. 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

The ARTivity Center (26070 S. U.S. Highway 83, 12 miles south of NP) — Children’s Art Workshop. Children create a piece with intersecting lines using Washi paper after reading Lines by Phillip Yenawine. $10. 3:45-4:45 p.m.

Cody Park Pool (1401 S. Jeffers) — Drool in the Pool. An opportunity for dogs to swim in the pool. $2 per dog. No humans allowed in pool. 5-7 p.m.

Lincoln County Historical Museum (2403 N. Buffalo Bill) — Summer History Lecture Series: President Ulysses S. Grant. Free. 7-9 p.m.

Wellfleet — Wellfleet Fall Festival Ranch Rodeo and dance with Jim Calhoun. 6:30-11:30 p.m.

Peg Leg Brewery (2519 Halligan Dr) — Flat Rock EMS conference. Training for emergency response jobs. $50. 7-8 p.m.

Another Round (1008 W. 18th) — Live music by Stone Senate, a southern rock band from Nashville. 8-11 p.m.

Wellfleet — Wellfleet Fall Festival with kayak races, volleyball tournament, BBQ, parade, rodeo and dance with live music by Cimarron. All day.

North Platte Community College (601 W. State Farm Rd) — Flat Rock EMS conference. Education and training for emergency response jobs. All day.

Memorial Park (1200 E. 4th) — Annual Colonel Cody Cruise car show, one of North Platte’s largest car shows. 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Iron Eagle Lake (2401 Halligan Dr) — Youth fishing derby. Poles and tackle provided. 8 a.m.-noon.

Parkade Plaza (225 E. 6th) —- Original Farmer’s Market of North Platte. 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Francis St. Square parking lot (601 E. Francis) – Triple Bee flea market and car parts swap meet. 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

FUR Animal Rescue FURcility (220 E. B) — Lemonade and cookies for a freewill donation to help Teddy, a cat rescued in April, get treated by an internal medicine specialist. 3-6 p.m.
