As that legacy would suggest, Bryan brings velocity, agility and remarkable fluency to every subject he tackles, qualities that will serve him well on International, where he joins a breaking news team that adds speed and depth to our coverage of major stories unfolding around the world during the U.S. day.
Bryan is a graduate of Arizona State University, with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and international business. He began his career with a yearlong fellowship at the New York Times, where he covered breaking news from a base in Denver when the pandemic kept him from working in the New York newsroom. He joined The Post in 2021 to become a breaking news reporter in Seoul, his first time back to South Korea since he was adopted as an infant by American parents and raised in Minnesota.
Bryan has written movingly about his quest while based in Seoul to reacquaint himself with the country. He was also able to meet his birth family and acquire Korean citizenship. In addition to his nascent Korean language skills, Bryan also speaks Spanish.
Bryan will relocate to the United States at the end of September and will begin work in the newsroom on Oct. 2.
