Date:

Saturday, & Sunday October 7th – 8th
Poughkeepsie and Loudonville, N.Y.
Times: 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

The Manhattan women’s volleyball team hits the road this week, participating in two MAAC games in their home state of New York. The first matchup of the weekend will be Marist College on Saturday, followed by Siena College on Sunday.

“Against Marist, we need to play like we played against Quinnipiac. We played calmly, and we got all the easy points, playing close to perfection. As long as we can do that, I feel confident going into this match,” said head coach Mauro Militic.

Marist: The Jaspers last encountered the Red Foxes last season, dropping the match  3-1. The Jaspers currently trail the Red Foxes with a 19-24 record in all-time matches. The Red Foxes are currently 7-10, 5-1 in MAAC this season, most recently winning their past three games.

Siena: Following that, the Jaspers will jump over to Loudonville to face the Saints. The Jaspers and Saints are currently 13-31 in all-time matches, losing the past eight matches. This season, the Saints are currently 2-14, 2-4 in MAAC. The Saints most recently beat Saint Peter’s University, ending a six-game losing streak. Prior to facing the Jaspers, the Saints will host Iona this Saturday.

Leaders: Leading the Jaspers’ offense was Mikalah Curran, who scored 16 kills. Following Curran was Camila Gomez with 13 kills. McKee led the team tonight in assists, setting up 33 for her teammates. Leading the defense were Dominique Velarde and Elenoa Sing. Velarde picked up 10 digs, while Sing put up five blocks.
