Lady Chaps Travel to Canyon for Rivalry on the Range

CANYON, Texas – Fresh off a 2-0 loss against Texas A&M International, the Lubbock Christian University women’s soccer team travels to Canyon to take on West Texas A&M.

LADY CHAPARRAL HEADERS

  • The Lady Chaps are coming off a 2-0 loss against Texas A&M International on Saturday.

  • Freshman Forward Emily Douglas has been De La Cruz’s partner in crime on the offensive end this season.
  • The Phoenix, AZ. Native has found the back of the net three times this season and contributed three assists as well.
  • She is top-10 in the LSC in game winnings goals and assists.

 MURRAY MADNESS

  • Freshman Goalkeeper Kara Murray has started every game for the Lady Chaps. Facing 130 shots and making 48 saves.
  • She has a .762 save percentage and is top-3 in the LSC in saves and saves per game.

THE SERIES WITH WEST TEXAS A&M

  • The Lady Chaps are 1-3-1 all-time against the Lady Buffaloes.
  • They played to a scoreless draw in 2022.

SCOUTING THE LADY BUFFS

  • West Texas A&M is coming off a 2-0 loss to #17 Dallas Baptist on Saturday (Oct. 7).
  • The Lady Buffaloes have been outscored 15 to seven this season. They average 0.78 goals per game on 7.1 shots a game.
  • Reagan Matacale and Bailey Murray lead the Lady Buff offense. The duo has combined for two goals and two assists.
  • Reagan Heelan has played every minute of the season in goal for the Lady Buffs. She has recorded 55 saves on 152 shots faced.
