Matchup Notes
- The championship will be the seventh overall meeting between these squads as well as the second time this season.
- In the regular season, the Bulldogs and UNH tied 1-1 in Durham.
- Sunday’s matchup will be highly anticipated as both teams are nationally ranked. Bryant in ranked #19 in the nation while the Wildcats are #10.
- The winner of the conference will receive an automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship.
Notes and Notables
- The Bulldogs made the most of their bye and home field advantage in the semifinals. They defeated Binghamton 3-1 in front of an electric crowd to move on to the championship.
- Sunday’s appearance will be the seventh time that the Black and Gold play in a conference final. Previously the squad played in two championship games in the NEC (2013 & 2018) and four in the NE-10 (1985-88).
- Bryant is 8-0-2 on the road this season.
About the Wildcats
- UNH is 12-1-4 on the year and went undefeated in conference play with a record of 4-0-3.
- Like Bryant, the Wildcats also had a bye into the semi final round of the tournament. The ‘Cats beat NJIT in the semifinals by a score of 1-0 to advance to the championship.
- UNH are the reigning America East champions after beating UAlbany last year 2-0 in the finals.
