Date:

EXCLUSIVE: Teton Ridge Entertainment has hired Jen Gorton as EVP Production and Development.

Gorton is part of the new team that’s being assembled by President Jillian Share for the new studio which focuses on projects that celebrate and amplify stories of the American West.

Share’s team also includes Brandon Mattingly and Christina Poray, who are VPs of Production and Development, and Madeleine Moore, Creative Executive.

Gorton will work with Share to oversee creative development and production of their film, television and new media slates.

Gorton was most recently EVP of Film Production at eOne, where she oversaw development and production as well as negotiated worldwide distribution deals for films including The Starling (to Netflix) starring Melissa McCarthy and directed by Ted Melfi, horror prequel Orphan: First Kill (Paramount) and the Academy Award-nominated Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris (Focus Features). She also oversaw that company’s upcoming films Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, starring Gerard Butler and Arthur the King, starring Mark Wahlberg and Simu Liu. She and Share worked together in producing the upcoming Freaky Tales, directed by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, and starring Pedro Pascal, Jay Ellis, and Ben Mendelsohn and Everything’s Going to be Great, starring Bryan Cranston and Allison Janney. Prior to her stint at eOne,

Gorton served as EVP Production and Sales at Sierra/Affinity where she worked on over 100 titles, including the Academy Award-winning films Whiplash, I, Tonya; Spotlight, and Manchester by the Sea as well as Oscar nominees Hell or High Water, Molly’s Game, and Nightcrawler, and the box office hits Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, produced by Guillermo del Toro and Atomic Blonde, starring and produced by Charlize Theron. She was the sixth employee to be hired at Sierra, thereby having had a hand in shaping the company as a Creative Executive in packaging and sales.

Mattingly was previously in drama development at ABC Entertainment and worked in the International Originals group at Netflix on series for India and the Middle East. He got his start in scripted development at Freeform just as that cable network was rebranding from its previous incarnation as ABC Family.

Poray was previously at AfterShock Comics, where she was focused on adapting their library of IP such as Undone By Blood and A Calculated Man. In addition to projects for the U.S. market, she worked alongside Carrie Stein securing co-productions and local-language series around the world. Before AfterShock, Poray worked with Aaron Kaplan at Kapital Entertainment (producer of the hit series A Million Little Things, Santa Clarita Diet and American Housewife). She got her start as an assistant at Circle of Confusion before joining Skybound Entertainment.

Moore has worked with Share for several years, starting as her assistant at Heyday, growing her responsibilities at eOne, and now joining Teton Ridge as Creative Executive.

Teton Ridge Entertainment will produce films, television series, podcasts and new media, both scripted and unscripted. The company is a division of Teton Ridge, the first omnichannel company comprised of a portfolio of brands focused on multiple facets of the American West which is led by newly appointed CEO, Deirdre Lester. Investors include Thomas Tull, Guggenheim Partners, Jim Breyer and the Lee Bass Family Office.
