What Should I Watch, And Where Is It? | Lifestyle & Entertainment

Date:

I do not know about you, but sometimes we think of a TV Show or Movie we would like to watch from a few years ago, or possibly, many years ago. We will be sitting around and one of us will say something like, “What was that movie with Mark Ruffalo, the Hulk, and the West Virginia actress from Alias, where she changes into a younger version of herself?” Then one of us will Google it and find it was “13 Going on 30” with Jennifer Garner from 2004.

The next thing would be one, or both of us, (the other “one,” and most important one, is Robin my wife) will say, “Oh yeah, I remember that, let’s watch it tonight…where can we stream it?” Well there are several websites and platforms that you can use to check for what shows and movies to stream and where they are found. Some popular options include:

Google: but you may not find the streaming service you were looking for, or have to search a few more times for the best results.

IMDb (Internet Movie Database, imdb.com): it provides information on movies, TV shows, and celebrities, including where they can sometimes be streamed online.

JustWatch (justwatch.com): It’s a streaming search engine that allows you to search for movies and TV shows across multiple streaming services. They include Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and more.

Metacritic (metacritic.com): it provides reviews and information on movies, TV shows, video games, and music, including where they can be streamed.

Reelgood (reelgood.com): it’s a comprehensive streaming guide that shows you where you can watch your favorite movies and TV shows. This is my favorite as I just like the way it works. You choose what streaming services you have. Then it will only search on them, so you do not get services you have to pay more for.

Rotten Tomatoes (rottentomatoes.com): this is a movie and TV review aggregator, which also provides information on where a particular title can be streamed. I never use it since I do not want to take the time to figure out their silly rating system.

The following websites will give you a good idea of what is available on the different streaming platforms and where you can find the content you are interested in watching.

Amazon Prime Video (primevideo.com): this service is included with an Amazon Prime membership and offers a large selection of movies and TV shows, as well as original content. However, you may be charged a fee to watch some items.

Disney+ (disneyplus.com): it features a large selection of content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.

HBO Max (max.com): It is the streaming service from HBO and features all of the premium cable channel’s original content, as well as a large selection of licensed movies and TV shows.

Hulu (hulu.com): It offers a combination of original content and licensed TV shows and movies, as well as live TV options.

Netflix (netflix.com): It offers a wide selection of original content, as well as movies and TV shows.

Ultimately, the best streaming service for you will depend on what you are looking for in terms of content, features, and price. It is worth trying out a few different services to see which one works best for you.

There are many more apps and platforms offering the same or similar experiences. They all can charge you for their services so be cautious in what you want and what you are willing to pay for.
