Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Sasha Baker will depart today for travel to Hawaii, the Republic of Korea (ROK), and Singapore.

In Hawaii, A/USDP Baker will meet with INDOPACOM leaders to discuss regional security issues in the Indo-Pacific, and meet with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency to learn more about their mission and thank them for their support during recent Maui wildfires.

She will also meet government and military leaders to discuss the current security environment and underscore the U.S. commitment to defense of the ROK.

From there, Acting Under Secretary Baker will travel to Singapore, an important anchor for our U.S. security presence in Southeast Asia. She will co-chair the Strategic Security Policy Dialogue with her Singapore counterpart, to further advance combined defense initiatives. She will also meet with senior government and military leaders to discuss maritime security, cooperation in new domains, and other important issues.
