Alfano Honored With Underrepresented Student Travel Award < Yale School of Medicine

Alexis Alfano, BA, postgraduate associate in the Family Violence Research Lab at Yale School of Medicine, has been honored with the Underrepresented Student Travel Award for the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) Addictive Behaviors Special Interest Group (AB-SIG).

Alfano will present her poster at the ABCT annual convention in Seattle on November 17. The title is, “The Influence of Substance Use, Mental Health Symptoms, and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Severity on Treatment Utilization Among Women Who Experience IPV.”

Tami Sullivan, PhD, associate professor of psychiatry, is PI of the Family Violence Research Lab.
