Around 30 per cent more people registered to receive a gift this year, when compared to 2022.
“A huge thank you to all the wonderful individuals, businesses, and organizations that contributed their time, resources, and love to make this toy drive a success,” the post continued. “Your support has truly made this holiday season magical for countless families.”
Donations can still be made through the holidays at a few locations around Nanaimo until Christmas at their drop-off locations at Woodgrove Centre, Nanaimo North Town Centre, and Country Club Centre.
The items will be kept in storage until the next toy drive launches in 2024.
A complete list of drop-off locations and gift idea suggestions is available on the Great Nanaimo Toy Drive’s Website.
