“Pintauro: An Evening of One Acts” offers an “evening of powerful dramas by Joe Pintauro.” Pintauro (1930-2018) left the priesthood in the mid-1960s to become a poet, playwright and author.

“Pintauro: An Evening of One Acts” Pintauro fearlessly delves into various hard-hitting topics — from a heart-wrenching exploration of the AIDS crisis to an unflinching portrayal of pederasty within the priesthood,

According to a NCRT press release, “Pintauro doesn’t shy away from shedding light on the most profound and poignant aspects of suburban domestic life. Joe Pintauro was a visionary artist whose creative journey from Catholic priest to celebrated poet, novelist and playwright touched the hearts of many. With a profound exploration of the human condition, his works have left an indelible mark on literature and theater, inspiring audiences to ponder, reflect and evolve.”
