Free exhibit of works by local artist Sherry Bridges will be open at Allegany College of Maryland’s Bedford County Campus in Everett from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays through the end of October. Bridges’ paintings depict may Bedford County landmarks, including The Coffee Pot, Dunkles’s Gulf, Lincoln Motor Lodge, barn at the former county home property and the Stuckey Mansion.
12th annual Cruise In For A Cause will be held rain or shine from 3 to 6 p.m. Sept. 16 at Thomas All Things Automotive, 21518 Great Cove Road, McConnellsburg. The event is being held to benefit cancer patient Suzanne Hockensmith of Wells Tannery. A $10 donation is being accepted per registered vehicle with all donations going directly to Hockensmith and family. Any year or type of cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors are welcome. The first 50 registered vehicles will receive thank-you gift bags. Food will be available for purchase from the Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Company. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Classic Cruise-In and drawing for the ‘55 Chevrolet raffle will be hosted by the Everett Lions Club and Thomas Automotive from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Thomas dealership along Business Route 220. All clubs, car types, trucks, and motorcycles are welcome. Vehicle registration for the cruise-in is free the day of show.
