Fast travel can be an important tool in getting to specific areas faster and avoiding enemies in Lies of P. Here’s how to use it.
For the most part, Lies of P is a pretty linear experience. Players will find themselves trudging through specific areas to unlock access to new zones and bosses, with keys and other buttons opening up new paths. There is no in-game map, and players will instead unlock special machines called Stargazers that act as checkpoints through zones. Similar to other Soulslike experiences, players will find themselves hacking and slashing through a wide array of enemies that are strewn throughout each area.
It can be pretty dangerous to get from point A to point B in Lies of P as enemies will constantly respawn. Because of this, players will want to use Fast Travel as much as possible when attempting to backtrack or make it to new or existing zones. Thankfully, fast traveling in Lies of P is pretty simple to do and is unlocked relatively early in the game.
How To Fast Travel In Lies Of P
Fast Travel is unlocked in Lies of P as soon as players make it to Hotel Krat and speak to Sophia. Once that restriction is met, players will be free to Fast Travel between any two Stargazers, as well as Fast Travel to Hotel Krat (the Hub). The Fast Travel menu is accessed by interacting with any Stargazer, but players also have the ability to fast travel at any point during their journey by accessing a special item called the Moonphase Pocket Watch. Players receive this item from Sophia at Hotel Krat the first time they meet her and using it will prompt them to either return to their most recent Stargazer or head directly to Hotel Krat. This tool can be invaluable for players to escape danger if they’re deep in a specific area and low on healing.
It’s important to note that any time a player accesses a Stargazer to Fast Travel, it will automatically heal players and revive all enemies in the area. Because of this, it’s important for players to decide when they wish to Fast Travel as doing so will flood previous areas they have already been through with mobs. It’s generally a good idea for players to Fast Travel before embarking into a new area to find a new Stargazer. Thankfully, Stargazers are liberally sprinkled throughout the zones in Lies of P and players won’t have to go too far before finding these invaluable checkpoints.
