LIMA, OH (WLIO) – Local businesses banded together to support an organization that provides a positive space for kids.
Lima City Life hosted their annual bowling fundraiser at Westgate Lanes on Saturday. Companies from around the area stepped up to provide great raffle prizes like a bicycle or OSU jerseys and pitched in with funds to sponsor lanes. Bowlers also enjoyed all-you-can-eat pizza and free donuts for their first strikes. The money raised during the event helps City Life continue to provide safe, fun, faith-based programs for Lima’s young people throughout the year.
“We target the urban youth in our urban areas in Lima. Sometimes, some of the stuff they get from us is hard to find in their local area. We provide afterschool programming, tutoring, mentorship, we also provide biblical and relational ministries,” explained their director, Junior Ramos.
City Life also invited a group of teens that they serve to come and enjoy the afternoon of bowling.
