Woodmen compete in three-way

Greenwood opened its season with a three-way meet against New Palestine and Roncalli on Thursday, defeating the Royals but coming up one point short against the Dragons, 45-44. The Woodmen won all three relays and got individual first-place finishes from Ryann Marker (200 and 500 freestyle), Hailey Peckinpaugh (200 individual medley, 100 backstroke) and Eleanor Guipe (100 breaststroke).

Franklin College

Men’s basketball drops road tilt

Franklin College fell behind early and never recovered in a 79-58 loss at Trine on Thursday night. Braden Flanagan led the Grizzlies (1-2) with 12 points, followed by Lynn King and Jack Hendricks with 10 apiece.
