Midea Sets New World Record with Fumeless Performance

On June 27, 2024, Midea, China’s renowned home appliance brand, successfully set a new world record at the Xiaotianshan scenic spot in Hebei province. In this demonstration, Midea constructed three rooms to simulate typical kitchen environments, each equipped with a range hood (Models: CXW-140-YG30/CXW-140-YG28).

To verify the performance of its range hoods, Midea deployed 944 PM2.5 detectors across the site. During the test, each detector recorded a PM2.5 level below 40μg/m³, underscoring the range hoods’ exceptional purification capability. Additionally, the detectors were arranged to spell out the characters “Wu Yan Gan” (“Fumeless Sensation”), further emphasizing Midea’s commitment to air quality.

Verified by FWRC (Forbes World Records Certification), an organization based in the United Kingdom, this demonstration set a world record for “the largest PM2.5 mosaic created during a range hood cooking test (readings below 40 μg/m³).”This achievement not only highlights Midea’s advanced technology but also underscores its commitment to improving the kitchen environment.
