YOUNGSTOWN — Colin Enright (1-2), a sophomore at Cardinal Mooney High School, scored his first win as an amateur late Saturday night when he stopped Jordan Leslie of Ashtabula in the main event of local trainer Jack Loew’s South Side Boxing Club’s ‘Fight Night at the Cardinals Nest’ at Cardinal Mooney High School.

It was the first ever boxing show staged at CMHS.

Leslie, who was making his fight debut, didn’t last long in his 132-pound scrap with Enright, as the referee stopped the contest before the bell heading to the second round.

Keith Burnside remained undefeated, moving to 7-0 with a unanimous decision over the Keystone State’s Jaise Cavrilla (2-2) in a 145-pound pairing, while Youngstown’s Antwone Peebles won for the fifth time in six outings with a hard-fought, unanimous decision over Cleveland’s Dylan Prpic (3-7) in their 195-pound match-up.

Youngstown’s Aiden St. Clair (5-0) remained undefeated with a split decision win over Tommy Parker (4-4), also of Pennsylvania in their 178-pound pairing.

In a 203+ match-up, Ashtabula’s Joe Davis (1-1) posted his first victory when he scored a second round stoppage over Youngstown’s Henry Yobove, who was making his ring debut.

The fight was one of three 203+ pound match-ups on Loew’s card.

In the other two 203+ pairings, Nate Goodin of Canton moved to 6-3 with a second-round stoppage over Nico Jackson (2-2) of Ashtabula while Youngstown’s Levi Williams scored a unanimous decision over Youngstown native Haden Lopez.

Both Williams and Lopez were making their ring debuts.

Getting the night’s action underway, Akron’s Messiah Speaight posted a unanimous decision over Youngstown’s Kingsley Wade — both fighters were making their initial foray into the ring — in a 60-pound scrap while at 90 pounds, Omari Gardner of Youngstown scored a split decision win over Deamari Bell of Akron.
