On the Podcast: More Big News—Plus, Jenna Lyons on Latex and ‘RHONY’

Date:

In The Run-Through’s very own game of musical chairs, we announce this week that I will be assuming Chioma’s role as editor of Vogue.com, as she heads across the pond to British Vogue.

Exactly a year ago, when we were gearing up to launch this podcast in mid-November, I don’t think that either of us could have anticipated announcing these new roles a year on—but here we are, and what a joy to bring The Run-Through along for the ride. We both love doing the podcast and plan to continue co-hosting it, with Chioma logging on from London weekly and me manning the microphone from One World Trade.

One of the highlights of working with Chioma this past year—and there have been many!—has been seeing the grace, authority, and editorial insight with which she has led the website. I feel very lucky to step into her extremely big shoes (literally, she wears a size 11), and hope that I can carry her torch with a smidgeon of her flair and care.

Of equal import, we talk to The Real Housewives of New York City star Jenna Lyons about everything from how to wear latex (it is complicated!) to her dog Popeye’s predilection for caffeine and her thriving romance with photographer Cass Bird, who made a cameo during our Zoom with Jenna from her house in Amagansett. Jenna not only shaped the style of American women when she brilliantly helmed J.Crew from 2010 to 2017, but she has remained a cultural force in every arena she’s delved into—from decor to false lashes.
