GILLETTE, Wyo. — Knight of Gore UNCAGED’s haunted house business in Gillette is giving to the community through fundraisers and scholarships, Sara Cage said today.
Russell and Sara Cage and Kyla and KJ Colburn operate the frightful fun from a small building in front of Western Welding Academy, 26 Kinsey Lane, Gillette, equipped with a permit from Campbell County Fire Department, Sara said. The building’s address is 2103 N. Highway 14-16.
Tonight, the group will collect donations for Blessings in a Backpack to help ensure all Campbell County children get enough to eat, she said. Kat’s Corner Catering will provide refreshments. The haunted house will be open Fridays and Saturday 7 to 11 p.m. There will be events Oct. 29 and 30. There are 15 to 20 adult actors and 20 child actors every night.
For a Halloween night event, organizers will donate to either the YES House or the Council of Community Services or Shop with a Cop, she said. This year, the group is giving three $1,000 scholarships to one senior from each Gillette high school: Campbell County High School, Thunder Basin High School and Westwood High School.
Tickets are $20 for people 13 years old and older and $10 for younger people.
Knight of Gore UNCAGED will offer year-round events, from birthday parties to holiday parties and maybe even holiday-themed haunts, according to Sara. To book a party, call Kyla Colburn at 307-680-7884 or Sara at 970-371-8414 or contact any of the four organizers via Facebook.
