Recently, the Asia-Pacific Academy of Sciences (APAS) announced its newly elected academicians. Among the distinguished honorees is Professor Kang Xixiong, a renowned expert in Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics and Clinical Immunology, who serves as Director of the Experimental Diagnostics Center at Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University.

Members of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Sciences (APAS) are scientists primarily from the Asia-Pacific region who have achieved the highest international standards, conferred as a lifetime honor with biennial elections for new academicians. Kang Xiongxiong is the first-ever Chinese expert in Laboratory Medicine elected to the APAS.

It is reported that Kang Xiongxiong was nominated for membership in the Asia-Pacific Academy of Sciences (APAS) based on the following rationale: “As a distinguished expert in Laboratory Diagnostics and an eminent professor in In Vitro Diagnostic Engineering Technology, your early formulation of the Personalized Diagnostics Theory and your current efforts in establishing the Whole-Life-Cycle Health Assessment System have both pioneered advancements in health sciences.”
