SAINT PAUL, Minn. – On Friday, December 1st from 9:00 a.m – 3:30 p.m., the Minnesota House of Representatives Health Finance and Policy Committee will hold an informational hearing on Medicaid managed care. The meeting will provide information about managed care organizations (MCOs) in the delivery of services to Medicaid beneficiaries. Topics will include the financing of Minnesota managed care organizations and state spending, current issues with using MCOs as primary service delivery mechanism, and current status of Medicaid MCOs in Minnesota. The hearing will also demonstrate the complexities of Medicaid MCO financing and discuss options for service delivery reform using other state examples of innovation.
