A pedestrian was hit Sunday morning by the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority trolley on First Avenue S near Seventh Street in St. Petersburg, according to police.
The pedestrian, a teenage girl, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, St. Petersburg Police said in a news release. Two passengers onboard the trolley also went to the hospital with minor injuries, officials said.
The crash happened at around 11:22 a.m., and was still under investigation at 2 p.m.
First Avenue S between Martin Luther King Jr. Street and Fifth Street remained closed Sunday afternoon while the investigation continued.
No other details about the crash were immediately available.
